The Famous Belleek
The present village of Belleek was founded on the Blennerhassett estate during the Plantation of Ulster in the 1600's.

The village is famous for the fine Parian China that is produced by Belleek Pottery. Established in 1857 by John Caldwell Bloomfield with the maxim that any piece produced showing the slightest imperfection was to be destroyed, a
philosophy that still exists in the Pottery today. The famous Bellek Pottery is internationally renowned for its uniqueness and exceptional quality. Belleek is also a thriving market town famous for angling and leisure breaks.
